Artist Statement

Alexia V.: I am a surrealist; transforming my dreams, emotions and reality into one. I express my inner thoughts and feelings visually, because art is my outlet. I incorporate symbols that represent different aspects of my life and surroundings. Artists like Salvador Dali, Max Ernst and Rene Margarite inspire me to reveal the truth behind the symbols i place in my work. Their work made me question what i could push and how i could develop a unique voice.
